process for our member cooperatives, significantly reducing the cost and duration of
projects while enhancing facility operation and efficiency.
New Horizon's Engineering department uses leading edge CAD and
data technologies
such as AutoCAD and many others to create innovative engineering solutions.
Substations New
Horizon substation designs range from 44 kV to 100 kV voltages. We
work with our member cooperatives to select a substation site, obtain required permits, design the substation, prepare bidding
and contact documents (plan, specifications, equipment, and material lists) for substation construction,
and supervise the construction
through final inspection of the substation.
Member Services
New Horizon's member cooperatives own the low
voltage side of their substations. New Horizon "low-side"
engineering services are provided to our members upon request.
Currently, we are purchasing substation materials for the members
"low-side" as well as preparing and administering contract and closeout documents for
all capital improvement projects as well as system improvement
projects when requested.
