New Horizon crews are professionally trained in all aspects of
electric system construction and maintenance. NHEC crews
conduct routine inspections and maintenance of substation
facilities, transformer change out and installations,
mobile substation setup and operation, and final inspections
of all capital improvement projects. We provide assistance to our
distribution cooperative members as needed in a all areas of line
and substation maintenance. As well, we are on call 24/7 to assist
all SC Cooperatives with storm trouble power restoration.
Our substation maintenance crews are professionally trained in inspection,
testing, diagnostics and maintenance of regulators, reclosers, and
transformers. We serve several SC Cooperatives in the rebuilding of
single and three phase reclosers.
Our Controls & Instrumentation technicians are professionally
trained electricians and specialize in the area of substation
relaying & controls. We also proved infrared and ultrasonic testing and reporting for NHEC
Substations as well as several SC distribution cooperative's
industrial consumers to insure service reliability.
New Horizon's operations department is continuously evolving through
good sound training and certifications. We are dedicated to
providing the best possible services to our distribution cooperative
