Services New Horizon's Operations Department provides the following categories of
support services to our Member Cooperatives.
Mobile
Substation New
Horizon owns and maintains two mobile substations. One 44kv and one 100kV, both with
duel low-side voltage capability.
Construction
Services New
Horizon Crews, when scheduling and project scope
permits, construct NHEC capital improvement projects.
Storm
Trouble New
Horizon is committed to the Cooperative effort in assisting South
Carolina Distribution Cooperatives with power restoration in the
event of outages due to the various storms in our area. In the
past New Horizon Crews have assisted in restoring power due to numerous
winter storms and the most devastating storm to ever hit South
Carolina, hurricane Hugo.

cooperatives in any way possible. From heavy equipment relocation to
installation of pad mount transformers. We are here to assist.
